My neighbor a couple houses down from me took down a bunch of trees in the back recently. The wood has been up for grabs and I’ve made the needed improvements to my storage area to allow for better access to it. Now, I’m able to take in some more new stuff. Theres a lot there and luckily a good amount that manageable sized. Mostly red maple with some ash. A larger oak tree that I probably will not deal with ( access is a little difficult and can’t get splitter down there).If I get bored this summer, maybe I’ll try to hand split on site, but not something that will sound like fun in the heat. I grabbed about half a pick up load this evening of red maple and ash. Buzz saw Brad- The double row to the left of the tree has a lot of the red oak you helped me with in the early fall of 2019. That wood will get burned this coming winter. Last I checked, it was around 23% MC.

Good on Brad as usual. Cut and split this red maple last May Ct and it read 34% then and just checked it out today with it reading 18%,i like the stuff alot. Not sure why the picture spun?
Digital pictures contain EXIF metadata which are supposed to contain orientation info to maintain orientation across platforms. Unfortunately coding errors can and do occur. I had a Canon camera that the forum software would 'un-orient' just portrait mode pics unless I opened the pic on my pc first, changed the orientation to horizontal/landscape, put it back to portrait and then posted/shared the pic. Now I don't know what exactly was happening with the EXIF metadata, but whatever it was, it worked. I like the drinking reason, too.
