Morning all or rather almost noon. Busy morning. Gorgeous sunrise and cool temps this morning. Went for our walk. Picked up breakfast. Love smores cookies. Hearing aid appt for @campinspector and pickup stuff from the vet here. Got back to the house to start working on projects.

Had our first fire in the new boiler yesterday. campinspecter did a few small fires to cure the ceramics and now he has loaded it up for a full fire to bring the storage tank up to temperature. It will be nice to be on the storage tank heating system again. He still has to install the louvered vent for the fresh air intake but basically we are up and running again.

Mom's birthday is Friday so a bit of running around for that.

    Everyone have a great day.

Well. Kept busy today with making coleslaw, bread and porkchops along with Barbaras care with lots of other stuff today. The food come out good. Glad of that. Only problem with making bread is the loaf will be gone so on. :) Hope you are having a great day.

Woodwidow yep, sounds like y'all were really busy. Glad y'all have finally got the new boiler up and running. That will be nice.
Happy early birthday to your mom. If I may ask, how old will she be?

Midwinter that's cool right there. Great pictures. Only thing cooler, would be a helicopter drop off...
Your pool looks nice too. Glad you got the cover off.

Mom will be 96 and in better shape than she was last year or the year before. The hip replacement gave her back at least 10 or more years of mobility.

That's great, y'all have both been blessed. My mom will be 95 in Nov.
She is in a nursing home now.
We got to go see her Monday afternoon. 12145.jpeg
We took her 6 yrs ago, Sept '15, for the memorial ride on the Nancy Hank's, a passenger train that ran from Atlanta to Savannah back in the days...she enjoyed that... IMG_20150926_081357786_HDR.jpg

    Good morning, folks.

Another nice day ahead. Mid-50's to start, heading to 80.

We're off to a church service for the wife of a friend, who lost the fight with cancer.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good Morning. We have really turned the corner toward some warmer weather. It is 67f at this hour, heading for upper 70s with some much needed rain today. The gardens are very happy!

Good morning everyone! Great job taking care of your moms, Woodwidow and T.Jeff Veal!
Yes, got the pool running , although the water is frigid, 59° or so. We have some 90° days coming up, so that should help. Maybe they will cut down the maple in back of us, that shades the pool in the mornings.
Today I have my choice of big jobs: cut up the cherry, or scrub off the pool cover. Much as I'd like to saw, I think I'd better scrub. I'm still carless, which is kind of a good thing in terms of getting work done. d4Fs2T5.jpg

    Good Thursday to you all!
