Same score, and I made the cut. I definitely had to throw some wedges in there as the top cuts were not enough and having some issues lining up the cuts from both sides. I’mma rookie with the long bar and large diameter logs, so as long as I get a few trunk fulls home, I’ll call it a success. Saw is cutting like a champ though I should be sharpening more often I think with the skip tooth. Edit: and the cant hook came in handy to roll it after the wedges loosened it up.
Thats great any pics of the work? Tha cant is a handy tool for sure. Dont use mine that often, but when i do its a back saver. Had to roll a big oak trunk last week and needed it there.

Found some birch at the dump. There were some bigger pieces I couldn't get at. Maybe I'll chance the electric saw tomorrow, if it's still there.
I haven't heard that cutting it is illegal here. I've gotten WB mixed in, when I use to buy cut/split wood. I took down a good sized leaner, a few years ago. I don’t plan to turn myself in.
Late 80s I had a friend whose family owned a camp out on the ocean. They didn’t allow cutting of white birch trees. People at that point like to put the rounds in the open fireplaces for holiday pictures and what not. I actually made some money by driving truckloads of white birch get Massachusetts and selling it. Police officers would stop me and ask me for a signed proof that it didn’t come from Massachusetts. Even though I had Vermont plates on the car.
Did some carless hoarding today! My next door neighbor had a mostly dead cherry cut down. Some punk around a couple of limbs, but looks pretty solid. Pretty cool, he just swung it over to my driveway without unhooking it.
