Finally a good free score. First one for 2021!! I know I should be doing other things today, but free wood waits for no man. Hopefully it is still there at 630 in the morning. Looks to be a wheelbarrow job, but also pretty sure it is red oak. Only a mile from my house. As I said, I should be doing other things, like working in the garden, splitting the 6 cords I already have stashed, or the dreaded honey do list, but, hoard on!!!!! Awesome. Do you mean you have to wheelbarrow all of it the 1 mile home?

Nice score there Pricey! How's the shoulder/arm feeling these days?
I hear you on the back log (no pun intended) of rounds. Got maybe three cord myself.

20210513_062812.jpg I started unloading before I took the picture. For some reason I am having problems uploading pictures onto here. But anyway, I ended up with a full truck of nice rounds, they are a bit short at about 14 inches, but not bad. I can use those split for east/west stacking in my stove. I even got to score some already split from a tree they had taken down last year. He had alot of smaller chunks mixed in the pile, I kind of felt bad about not cleaning up the whole pile, but I have enough little chunkiest stashed away for a few years, plus he had a fire pit in the yard, so figured he can burn them up. 20210513_070653.jpg

Lol. I did start with the wheelbarrow taking the rounds out of the yard, then saw tire tracks. I had asked in the message if I could back up to it, they hadn't responded yet, and it was 6am, so I wasn't about to knock on the door. I said the heck with the wheelbarrow, and took the truck in.

6am hauling free wood while the everyday tasks wait on the back burner? Who ever heard of such a thing? :)

The perfect score! Must seem odd coming home with a load of wood without running a chainsaw lol. At least they didn't split all of it for you
