    Nice set up & stacks

Rub it in that you have lots of hickory, the #1 firewood :)

I've had a few fall from time to time but I just don't have the room to put stacks anywhere else or I should say I don't want to take other areas for stacking. I'm on a little over 1/2 acre. Usually when they fall they go into the pasture which has an electric fence so I've been out there with insulated pliers fixing the fence a few times because I don't want to bother the old woman that owns the pasture. She leases it out to a local farmer.

Didn't say I had lots of hickory LOL. Probably only about 2 cords total. Hickory is a wood I had never had until about 3 years ago. I don't hear a lot about my wood stacks as they are at the back of the property and 2 big pines block most of the view. You can see them from across the pasture.

And now that you have sampled hickory, I'm betting you love it.

Hickory is a darn nice burning wood, still not locust. I will say though with last year being my first year with the cat stove I really enjoyed burning ash and elm, more so than some others.

I now have everything that is split stacked. I guessed at 1/2 cord but it came out to 0.99 cords. I think that's close enough to a cord. Maybe I'll call that a Walmart cord.

Weather has been very cool for us this July... Helps a lot if you want to get some wood split. :)

Very impressive wood stacks you have LP!

It looks like it's drying nicely, and a great selection of premo wood too...

Wow, that's impressive! The Buck will be eating well for a while on that! Last year was cold, but can you tell yet about how much you'll be burning per season with the new stove?

I'd say 3.5 to 4 cords, that's down from the old stove that could munch through 5 or even 6.
