Last August during tropical storm Isaias several trees came down in my neighbor's yard. The property owner is a disabled marine combat veteran and I worked out a deal with him to process whatever I could, and for payment I would only take a small portion of the wood. I've been slowly picking away at them but it's been a struggle trying to work on the large 30+ inch red oaks. Enter buZZsaw BRAD with his new 500i, along with other saws, and the altruistic willingness to go the distance helping a fellow hoarder. He made quick work on the smaller of the behemoth red oak logs, and bucked the bulk of the larger one before we called it quits. I can't thank Brad enough for all the help today, as I've been feeling worn down working this for so long. The property owner is of course ecstatic too, which I think is the best part. It feels great to give back. Huge progress was made today, and although there is a lot left to do, I'm confident it will all get done in time.

OMG i look like crap in that pic! :emb: :picard:
It was a fun but partly aggravating time from my end. Big oak is fun to cut when you can get all the way through the cut and not hit dirt in the process...and move it! The second tree we couldnt free up a round despite being cut all the way on a few rounds. I hate leaving a job unfinished. Hafta come back and buck the rest.

Great to meet your family and see your hoard Eric.

Yeah a beast for sure. Biggest I've ever dealt with anyway. Some of the cuts are all the way through so the loose plan as of now is to continue bucking, then attempt rolling some of the free sections. Probably end up using a come along and an eye bolt... We'll see. This is new territory for me. If I had heavy equipment it would be a non-issue of course.
