Need a recommendation of tools and where to buy from.

I know of a few online places but was looking for a consensus of which place most people liked to deal with, as well as which tools.

Lots of people seem to like the new rotary style, but I don’t know how it is holding up. I see they are now offering a tool that will clean from above AND below.

My chimney is only about 10 feet above my thimble, but I think I’ll get enough rods to do 20-30 feet in case I build a new garage.

Also, would like some heavier rods with quick connect...if they are worth it and hold up well.

I bought a soot eater last weekend and used it that day. The sooteater cleaned my stove pipe much better than the conventional chimney brush I had previously used. I bought it at menards.

    This stuff works also
Powdered Creosote Destroyer - MEECO's Red Devil
At our cabin we had a heavy build up of crystalline creosote in our masonry chimney from burning green wood in the Fisher.
Used creosote destroyer this winter and the creosote flaked and fell off.

My sister has used that when she had creosote buildup from getting into some wood that wasn't as dry as was previously thought...she said it worked well enough...
