So I used the ms170 that I won at Backwoods Savage GTG today after work. Gassed it up, put oil in it and about 10 pulls of the rope and it was running. I have a big pile of branches to cut up into pieces for the fire pit. This is a perfect saw for this. It's light, quiet, and cuts pretty well, even with probably safety chain on it. Here's what I did in a short time. More than enough for a fire on Sunday afternoon
Thank you for posting this Horkn. It is always nice to see when people appreciate these things. This saw was donates by one of our good members, Gary_602z. Other members, even some who were not there made some really good donations for door prizes and I have to mention who lives a long way away and some know some of the good work he puts out with metal. Of course that is metalcuttr who did a terrific job. Some other metal was donated by Woodstovk Soapstone stoves. I should add that we gave a prize to every Hoarder there and still had more so some wives and sons also received prizes. It was great. I don't yet have all the pictures ready to post but here is one taken after I was presented with the book of Judy. You can see the saw still on the table and the oil that went with it.

I very much appreciate the saw, and it will put it to good use, as I had no running lightweight limbing saw. Now maybe I can start on getting grandpa's 015 running. After everything else gets done around here, that is. lol. Having this light saw that's brand new and ready to rock really helps
Heck yeah...tons of fun a fabulous prizes to boot! Every year I keep hoping its gonna be my year to win the new truck, but so far no dice I did get one of metalcuttr 's wood hoarding sasquatches, pretty sweet! Wife loves where I put it too Thanks to Gary for his annual saw donation, and to Woodstock for their goodies too!
