Another busy day at work. Just over an hour left so I'm way past "Good morning." Weather has straightened out after a couple days of showers so the plan is to move some wood chips tonight with the skid steer and probably move tree service firewood to the wood yard to make room for more deliveries.

Thanks for the advice. I have been mulching with steer manure in the spring not the fall. I will have to try that this fall.

Morning. Coffee good. Must fish. Friend coming from Tampa today. Warm out, hot later with thunderstorm chances.

Those look good.... I just got 4 plants from the GTG this past weekend... Dennis's neighbor that we took the trees down for have like 8 plants as healthy as yours.... I was talking to her and she split up a couple of plants for me... I've tried to keep them before. But only can get a couple of years out of them. I think its the summer heat? But I'll try your tip this fall. Thanks...

Is the manure fresh or composted? Composted is best. Fresh might cause you problems.

I'm unsure about heat being an issue, but it might. Do you know or see anyone else in your area growing some without problems? Watering - on the hottest of days the leaves might wilt. If they do, then more watering is needed.

I know of a few plants but not very many. I do know about that wilt... I'll try to water more. How often do you water? Heavy drinkers, I take it?

The ribs are full of water. During heat spells, daily. In the morning. If I notice any wilt during the day, then additional water.

The big leaves are like funnels. Directing water to the crown/middle of the plant.

Good morning everyone! It's a nice sunny morning. Good for playing outside. Yesterday we drove down to MA to the best garden center around, Russell's in Wayland. They had some cherry tomatoes for me, and some other stuff I couldn't resist. I think I'll have to go back in a couple of weeks. IMG_20210506_32274.jpg
I'll move some wood today, and repot my new plants.
    Have a great one!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a TREMENDOUS THURSDAY. We visited the big event at the college yesterday.
They have 4 huge cooking pits. I don't know many butts they are cooking this time. My friend said the last time they did chicken plates, they cooked 8600 halves...:jaw:... Each pit will hold 9 racks. 0505211044_HDR.jpg
We have a small yard job to do, then nap time, start back on nite shift...
Enjoy another spin around the planet
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

Well composted. You can only buy it in a bag here. No farms to get fresh from. I was probably not using enough.

Morning All. Overcast with the possibility of rain. Taking Cricket to the vet for a checkup today. We will see how she is doing with bloodwork.
Midwinter I really like that petunia colour. I have marigolds and white petunias for my planters. Mom got vivid pink geraniums and a selection of veggies from our PAC program. Monday I hope to go over and help her plant everything. Not much doing in my garden as we have been traveling. My broccoli starts are getting really leggy. I will have to start some more.

    Everyone have a great day.

Happy Friday Eve! Another cool morning, partly cloudy day with occasional sprinkles later. Glad I don't have an outside job right now. Spread a bunch of wood chips last night with the skid steer. Still a bunch left. That's a good thing. Music practice tonight then have to help the wife whip up a craft project before turning in. Garage door is coming tomorrow so I have to figure out how to get work done and still be home for the installation. Woodwidow pet Cricket for me. Hoping for a good report! T.Jeff Veal hope you got some good BBQ! Midwinter you're way ahead of me. I haven't planted anything yet. Good luck!
