Good morning everyone! Rain stops midmorning sometime. I'll do some shopping, and fill more barrels with soil for tomato plants.
Yesterday I emptied the back rack IMG_20210504_5513.jpg
and added it to the stack in the basement. IMG_20210504_38622.jpg
It's dry, but the dehumidifier will suck a little more water out of it over the summer. Then I filled the empty back rack with fresh oak. IMG_20210504_23239.jpg
Once we get some dry weather, I'll fill the rest with sugar maple. The basement is stocked up for winter, and I have some room in the stacks for any new wood that comes my way.
    Have a great day!

Good morning y'all. Hope yall have a TERRIFIC TUESDAY. Looks like y'all had a great Monday. Sorry I forgot to check in with my morning crew. I looked at some of the GTG pics and then got busy on the woodyard.
I'm off again today, so we will be back on the woodyard, working on a pecan order now.
Yep, Brandon, it felt like summer here too. Had 2 thunderstorms roll thru yesterday afternoon. Only ,25" rain. Thankfully the worst missed us. News said 1 man was killed in Atlanta area, big oak fell on his car as he was driving down the road and a lady was killed in Warner Robins area, big pine hit her mobile home where she was sitting in the den. We may have more today.
Molly, that is a lot of wood you have moved. I bet it's hard climbing over the other runners to the back row.
WinonaRail hope the interview showed up. And the rest of your week is great.
Have a great week, Kevin, Jill and Chaz.
Hope your strength continues to improve, Tim.
We went down to our daughter's house last night to put a little cabinet up. I had plenty of help from the 2 grandsons. RJ, the blond one, is 4. He learned how to use an Allen wrench to tighten the bolts.
Riley, the Red, just turned 1 in March. He held some of the parts....and didn't want to turn them loose....lol
    Had fun with those boys. 0503211829a.jpg 0503211826b.jpg 0503211818.jpg 0503211836_HDR.jpg 0503211835.jpg
May GOD BLESS EACH OF YOU THIS WEEK.

Morning all. What blessing to have helpers T.Jeff Veal I just love red headed kids.

Cricket is home with a bag full of meds. She is eating and drinking water so good signs. Very, very thin so she shivers a lot. Doesn't like wearing her T-shirt but I put it on for comfort for her.

Off to the dentist this morning for cleaning appointments and then back home. It is going to be a very busy week.

    Everyone have a great day.

Morning. Coffee #2. Meeting a guy on the lake that saw my Tiktok videos to put him on fish. The next full moon a guy is coming to fish with me from Deltona. Tiktok acquaintance also. He own his own custom bass bait company. People say I should be a guide but I have no desire. Tight lines and full racks.

    Good morning, all.

Damp start to the day. OK by me! More showers later today.

I'll be harvesting some rhubarb to take to a friend, then we'll be off for tacos and 'Rita's! Cinque de Mayo.

    Stay safe
    Stay healthy

Good morning everyone! I believe I'll start a fire this morning. It's raining and 45°.
Yesterday I used all the soil I had to fill some big pots. They have potting soil, rabbit poop, some bagged manure, promix, and a sprinkling of crushed eggshells. I need to add a few worms to each as well. Today the rain will saturate it all.
I have two more big ones, but I need some more bagged dirt. I'll plant two tomato plants per smaller barrel, and three each in the bigger ones. All cherries this year. IMG_20210505_22624.jpg
Hope you all have a good day!

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a WONDERFUL WEDNESDAY. I'm off again today, so we are going the small college Butt cooking this morning for a bit, meet some of the other guys that are cooking. They got a trailer load of pecan and oak from us. Supposed to get a couple butts amd a little cash. Trying to help them out, should have enough wood for the fall chicken cooking too.
When we get back, we have to go finish the tree take down in Deepstep. Got another big holly to drop and clean up.
Might split more pecan this evening, if the storms stay away. 0502211924.jpg
    Be encouraging, lend a hand.
    GOD LOVES YOU AND ME

I am envious. My rhubarb is doing better this year but nowise that size. If I don't get a decent amount next year, I am getting new plants.

Morning All. Over cast with no rain. No walk this morning as I am getting ready to catch a ferry to Mom's. We are spending the afternoon over there. Cricket seems to be doing well. Our trip to the dentist had no mishaps so now I have squeaky clean teeth for the next little while.

I might get some broccoli planted this morning. Not many starts for this round.

    Everyone have a great day.

Rhubarb is a heavy feeder. Every fall I pull back mulch, circle each rhubarb plant with compost, replace mulch. It feeds the plants and improves soil conditions. I've never added any brand name fertilizer.
