Later today, I'll be dropping my van off for service, including an exhaust system look-see. It's become loud. Oh well.

Finally getting out myself this morning. It was 85f yesterday, and it is 60f right now, so the shallows should be holding some bluegill and pumpkinseeds early this morning.

 

Good morning everyone! I moved a lot of wood yesterday, getting at some dry oak stacked behind two other rows of wood. At least having it on racks makes the moving process modular, and I don't have a cascading pile.
That's the oak in the back I want, which will get stacked in the basement for next winter. I've already done the stack on the left, and replaced the back row with wet oak.
But enough of that for this weekend, today I've got my grandson!
The crabapple has thrown out a shoot from the rootstock, so I've got two blossom colors!

I have been unable to do anything firewood related for 3 weeks, because of knee surgery, a complication and back spasms that I think were also a result of the surgery. Feel 80% better, so I’m relocating wood, stacking new splits, splitting and possibly some weed whacking. Take that knee and back! Too far behind after a 3 week layoff to take Sunday off.

We didn't grow that tomato. It was bought from a guy that has a hot house. It was tasty on that BLT though.
