The truck pic is an old one from two years ago, but from the same yard.

I went and bucked for an hour yesterday. Just the sugar maple. Dont have a "final resting place" for this in storage yet. Hoping to move it by months end. IMG_4705.JPG IMG_4706.JPG IMG_4707.JPG

Went and cut yesterday. Ran a tank through the 500i. Finished noodling the SM and started bucking the red oak. Tree service took down trees. IMG_4717.JPG IMG_4719.JPG IMG_4716.JPG

Update from last week. Cut the most of the red oak 500i work. T-storms rained out. Waiting for access at storage to move wood as yard is muddy. IMG_4793.JPG IMG_4792.JPG IMG_4791.JPG
Still one big red maple in his woods ill get eventually. I may split on site when ready to move.

Nice work as usual Brad! You really got think about some equipment though. Even a chainsaw winch to drag those logs out would really make it easier. I recommend a couple skidders, at least two dump trailers while shopping for a third, a couple loader tractors & about 4 trucks........ Oh wait, never mind, sorry, you're actually trying make a little money.

Good points, but the guy said no rush and i can back right up to it. Even the stuff way in back in the woods. I was worried about killing his grass to which he said no worries. He says im doing him a big favor.
As ive said in the past if i had an area to dump rounds and to park a trailer/equipment etc id consider it, but my low budget plan works good. Its nice just to grab a saw or three and cut at my convenience.

Trying to make money, but CAD has me in its grips. Although my resistance to a couple saws last week (new 400, used 036 Pro) has been working...has been.
    Chain saw winch??? Any pics/video?

Look up a Lewis winch. They're a really handy machine. Sorry I don't have any link handy.

That looks like an amazing amount of fun Brad I'm jealous!!!

So just to satisfy my curiosity, are you leaving the oak for the owner? If not, I was wondering why you wouldn't take it because it looks delicious. :D

I could leave it and he is nice enough to let me take what i want. Its some nice wood and easy to grab (back right up) so yes its mine. The 500i loved easting it BTW!

Where have you been LOTF??? Your absence has been noticed. Were you abducted by wood hoarding aliens or something?

Brad do you remember me telling you awhile ago that you need an F 450 with a flatbed? Nice score I would love to fall a standing dead red maple! Yes I think a Lewis winch would make you even more productive, Madsen's supply in Washington state is a licensed dealer.

A few reasons but the main one was that I had surgery for a kidney that was found after I had a kidney stone in Jan. They didn't want to do a biopsy because if cancerous they risked spreading it.

Turns out I made the right call to have surgery after an MRI confirmed it to be a mass.......and it was a clear cell renal carcinoma (i.e. cancer). That's the bad news. The great news is they cut all of it out (it was 3.5cm), saved my right kidney, and I don't need chemo or radiation and all I need to do is rest up till June-1 (no lifting of more than 10lbs). Also it's Stage 1a cancer so it's basically the earliest detection possible so I really lucked out. I mean I won the lottery lucked out.

I had a robot assisted laparascopic partial nephrectomy and they used this crazy robot ($2,000,000 unit) and made 5 holes in my abdomen about 1" long and a 6th hole for drainage. Everything has gone according to plan and I was discharged the day after surgery and walked into my home to rest. Everything is back to normal minus some slight pain (was off opiods in 2 days after surgery) and it's absolutely killing me to read anything on this site because I can't do anything. :(
