I've decided to make this the post where I'll continually add pictures and updates. Today I went back to the church friends place and got some ash and elm. They have two more piles on their farm ground a couple miles away. I only brought the cs 600p since most of the logs are rather large. This was a massive elm log. Not sure if ill cut into this considering the metal post growing out of it on the bottom right. My 600p has a 24 inch bar on it for scale. had to do some noodling and splitting to get the bigger ones loaded, but not a bad haul for a Sunday.
Here's some work from yesterday. Couple of pine rounds I decided to make into Swedish torches. Figured I could throw them up on Facebook and sell a couple. I had to restock the roadside stand this morning. Someone came and bought five bundles. Im hoping things start to pick up once the weather gets better.
Based on your pictures from other threads, the pictures in this thread, and your current rate of production....when do you anticipate having to start burning corn stalks/stubble cause all the trees are gone??
I got my first store sale the other night. Its a hardware store with two locations near me. They ordered 20, 10 per store. Planning on shipping them out tomorrow or Thursday. These 26 are ready to go. There's 24 in this ibc tote that need wrapped some more. I had a few fall apart because there's not enough plastic holding them together. I definitely don't want that to happen to a store I sell to.
Had a busy day today. Got a trailer load of willow hybrid. These logs were cut down last fall and are growing leaves and fresh stems now. there is one ash log in the back right of this picture that I didn't find until the trailer was full. Maybe on the next trip I'll go for it. finished my 3rd row of ash. Im guessing I I have a little under a 1.5 cord.
Another load of Ash! It was some easy cutting and its gonna be some easy splitting. All the other ash I've had, I had to split vertically.
Found my new bundle hauler. I had to restock the roadside stand on Sunday and the yard was wet. Got the job done and stayed dry! I've been busy splitting, selling, and waiting on the rain to stop so I can get more wood. I might have a couple acres worth of trees to cut on soon. I gotta scope it out first but I should have some pictures soon.

For real this time though I did get a new wood hauler. Its a cheap truck with a lot of miles but it does have a lot of new parts. Im hoping to get a couple years out of it and a couple hundred loads. First things will be to take the topper off and hopefully get a headache rack. I've always wanted a backboard when loading wood.
Two loads for the weekend. First one was Saturday. Got it from my cousins place about 15 minutes away. It was an elm tree that was pushed over down a hill. Had to haul each round uphill about 10 yards. The second load from today was a lot easier. My girlfriends relative has a sawmill and a just knocked this walnut over yesterday. He loaded it up along with some milling scraps. Ill be busy for a couple weeks.
