That is what I would also do but once on the skid I move wood to a seasoning spot for 2 years. Covered in fall/winter to protect from leaves and snow. Then move to metal roofed storage for the final year before burning. This is why I'm investing time on the front end stacking on skids I make.
    I love my tractor.
Wood in background of first pic is 2 year seasoned. It'll get moved under cover this fall for the last year of seasoning. Last pic is what will be used next winter.

That's a pretty slick setup Mike. Why not stack right on the rack as it sits on the tractor forks?

Well the problem is the splitter splits too much too fast. Actually it's a good problem :D
If I had a second person that's exactly what I would do.
By myself I'd be hopping around too much
I used to split big logs mostly vertical and place splits right on the skid. Worked great!
when doing smaller stuff horizontally same thing right onto pallet. When full move skid and repeat.
I gotta get a new routine with this splitter and be efficient.
The table behind splitter allows me to accumulate more splits, idle engine, place splits on pallet, repeat 4 times full skid.
    WITHOUT BENDING MUCH!:D
Think of the crab table on Deadliest Catch. I like not bending so much
    So far so good
    Very nice splitter
I'll keep tinkering this will workout just fine

Understood. I'll often split right into the big bucket on my tractor, about a 1eisurley /4 cord, then haul it to the stack, rinse/repeat. Much better on the back. I can do a pretty leisurely cord in about 1 1/2 hrs. that way assuming the rounds are well staged. Wood is then stacked & waits to be burned.

Cleaned up and mounted the Anderson plug on beam for the battery.
Not putting fenders on but bolted metal box on instead for a couple of tools.
It's also a handy spot to put the 4 way wedge when I take it off.
Might even fit some gas in a small container.
This blocks the oil plug/vent but just 2 bolts and it's off.

consider making a chute out of PVC pipe. Big ones. Thinking 18” myself. You can cut and heat to make any shape you want. Wide near the wedge and funneling down. Keep it short enough and low enough and it’d probably self feed right off the end. A conveyor with out a belt or motor ;)
I’ll be working on one eventually.

So I covered the plywood on my plywood table top with 3/8 poly from a bin my local BJs was throwing out. The table they tossed 2years ago from veg dept. Just made straight cuts and screwed down. Wow very slick, works great. Table loaded once is 1/2 skid of splits.
    Happy with setup now.

I have to say that the log splitter has worked just fine. It starts right up manually and I haven't found the need to use the electric start. The log lift is just great. It has split everything I could get on the lift. It is also nice to be able to load multiple smaller logs onto the lift to speed things up.
The 4 way has gotten stuck a few times mostly due to my stupidity:D

I made some modifications to the balance and towing and those really have helped me a lot. I did make a square tube extension that I could insert into the hitch and use that to tow. It removes when splitting and storage of splitter.

I put a hitch for the front of my golf cart that I hooked the log splitter up to, and it really helps towing it and moving it into place. Kind of sounds funny with the hitch in the front, but it really makes turning and maneuvering, to place the log splitter just whereI want it easily.

Mine still running strong. Also a couple modifications as well including the hitch hookup on the beam end. The Raven engine hasn't skipped a beat ; my maintenance is good so oil gets changed regularly.
Other than that gas and go.
