90 burgers on the keyhole pit!

    Cooked almost 90 burgers and also 72 ears of corn on the firepit last evening for a retirement feed we are having at work today for one of our co-workers. Got dark so I didn't get many pics but it took me around an hour to do it, the whole neighborhood smelled heavenly!!

    Were those frozen burgers? We used to do that at the VA for the patients a few times every summer. Used those big brick grills with the built in charcoal beds. Huge number of burgers and dogs served. Add some thing to drink and some chips, a little music and they all seemed to enjoy the event.

    Wood fired burgers are the way to go - even the cheapo frozen pucks taste like real burgers:thumbs:

    Very true, esp. if you watch them cook. Somehow you get a picture of anticipation that you want to be true.
