Thank you Brother! That'll be down the line a little bit. I'm anticipating about a $3000.00 bill on this, but it'll pay for itself in electric bills, Easy!
I gotta stop for lunch. I believe I'm done for the day, it's sealed in as best I can do for now. Rain won't hurt it and were supposed to get T-storms tomorrow so I'm not going any farther with the roof today, I need about a 2 days nice stretch for that. If the siding was up, you'd never know anything was damaged, It's real solid now!!! But I'm falling apart! Motrin, lunch and a Beer, In that order... Today is the 1 week I started this adventure!
Thank you very much, but it's one of those things I have NO choice. Besides, it'll be they way (I) want it done now. Other than taking the chimney down, it's been all me!
Now you understand why I was hurting so bad at times Dennis! I was up and down that ladder about 400 times
Ok boys and girls, I'm a hurting mess, but here's the progress! I thought I'd get the roof sheathing on, NOT HAPPENING! Even though I have the scissors lift, I'm hurting just going in and out of it. Not to mention I had to climb out of the lift to remove the shingles and old sheathing. Man what it would be like to be 29 again instead of 59. Enjoy. Oh, while doing all this, I got my second load of Oak from my buddy, I'll post in the wood pile.
Wish I was closer, I am not worth much but with the lift and a couple decent knees we may have a shot at getting this finished.
Well, it's 0600, time to start another day! I'm gonna snap a pic at the top of the lift about 30' up, you'll get a view of how close home's/our neighborhoods are here, and mine is fairly Liberal for space. Most of all the shore towns are tight and some are worse.
Well, I just came in. I'm a hurting puppy but my buddy and I got the roof done! I took some high up pics so some of you can see just how (CLOSE) we are here in the neighborhood. I am 20ft from my next door neighbor. Here's some pics, Enjoy... You understand now why I want to live in No-where land, New Hampshire!
