This thread cost me a new ms 391 today wahoo lol Still love the 250 but I have the 391 setting in the living room right now. I have not cut nothing with it yet but I run it in the yard a few minutes and it feels like a horse. 250 391 is a tadom. It used to be a 250 and 170

Sweet. Congrats Griz! Compared to the 250, this saw will be like a hot knife through butter :) What size bar did you get?

What chain does it have on it? Is it set up for 3/8"? And does it have a yellow link on the chain or a green one?

Keep us updated on the saw. Or maybe start a new thread with 391 in the title. So when a new member searches 391, your review thread will come up. :)

Either way, you have fallen to the CAD bug. It's a disorder that is very hard to overcome. So good luck in your venture. ;)

Unless you want to buy another muffler? I would at least run 10 tanks or so through the saw. Get to know it and let it break in. Because if you run into a problem? The saws warranty is void once you modify it.

I modify everything. . But I also work on my own stuff. If my new 441C-M took a chit, I would be responsible. Where if it was stock? I could take it to the dealer (as long as it was a warranty item or defect).

That saw will likely open up with a good muff mod, but run it in stock. Then, after you run it for a bit and want more power? Then open it up and it will be like a new saw.

I too would wait and let any bugs show them self.

But I ran my 390 for 8 years in modded and that was about 7 years and 350 days too long!!

Yep a clemson fan. I only watch college football and not really that religious. But I guess you have a knack with falling in love with a team if you spend enough years there and pay them thousands of dollars for a piece or in my case 2 pieces of paper!
