Resized_IMG_5855.jpeg 20210403_114249.jpg Been contemplating selling some wood for some time now. Also have been putting some up for just this reason. Well...today it happened. Made my 1st Jackson selling 4 bags.

Once they start hanging out with Benjamin's, then you can start planning what to spend them on in earnest. :)

Nice work! I swear half of firewood sales is word of mouth.

Nice job Ron T ! Not to sound critical by any means, but we're getting $10.00 for those same bags up here. You certainly have to price for your market, but they look nice & full of high quality product. Don't short yourself, that looks like a good value in your bags. Congrats!

    That’s pretty cool.
Who’s buying it? Campers, backyard firepitters, other?

I tell people if sold wood, I’d charge $500/cord. It’s a lot of work!

    if I had a bundle 10” x 10” x 17”, that would be just about $1000/cord.
    Worth thinking about for sure!

It was a older lady. I told her to tell all her friends. She wanted to know if she should save the bags for next time!!

6 to 10 here. I figured I'd come in under everyone to see how it goes.

This woman was backyard fire pit. I do have a very large campground about 1/4 mile over the hill from me. Also am working on supplying 2 stores locally. One of which is also very close to the campground.

Actually we spoke of a larger delivery for her. Stacked with provided pallet of course.

It looks like twice the amount of wood I see in the typical convenience and grocery store bag for $5-7, so $10 would be fair for your bags.

Yeah I still have an ad up for stove wood from the winter...was about ready to take it down, just didn't yet...then my inbox started blowing up yesterday...had 3 people message about campfire wood (1 actually showed up) I never thought people would want to pay "premium stove wood" prices for campfire wood...but the one smart fellow did...he said he wasn't interested in spending 1/2 hour getting the wood to catch, and then deal with all the smoke from smoldering wet wood most people are selling!
He said he actually has a couple cords of wood at home that is already CSS, but only just recently, so he was going to let it dry until next camping season before even trying it...said it was cherry so it will probably be ready to go as campfire wood by then. I suggested he sell it for $ smoker wood, then I'll hook him up with more "campfire wood"! :)

I sold my first firewood this weekend. I told the neighbor to just take some, but he insisted on paying. I wouldn’t have taken the money, but it was my birthday. To make matters worse I told him he could take a whole face cord if needed, but he probably got about two bundles worth. He gave me $80.
I guess you only take your family out to dinner for your 40th birthday once.

Put it in a coffee can along with any others so you have money for future supplies like your bags, good bottle of whiskey, etc.

What about at the campground yourself. This has been along time ago but I can remember a guy coming around the campground with a pickup filled with wood about 7/8 every night. A lot of people bought from him.
