That's a sweet ride Dennis. Electric? My dad had a power chair and he used it mostly for good, although he didn't use it as a skidder as far as I know.
Better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it! Just kidding, y’all can get tons of work done without the heavy equipment. Backwoods Savage do you still have your Kubota? I know you had pallet forks, can’t remember if you had a grapple for it, anyone want to bring a 3-point cable skidder? Worst case if you need it and it’s not too wet, rent a CTL with a grapple! I moved about 80-100 cord of logs plus piled and burned most of the brush in two days last year when I was clearing a lot for my office. Pictures of the carnage from last year! Took out 65 oaks 16-34” dbh. Got about 5-6 families on the 5 year plan!!!
Gas. I like it and it does not use as much gas as the atv. Also nice as it is more quiet and comfortable. The skidding part was aimed at amateur cutter. lol
Yes, the Kubota is ready to go and yes, I have pallet forks. No on the grapple but we have access to one if it is needed. I'm hoping chipper1 brings his tractor again as he has a winch. Was also hoping amateur cutter would bring his skidder.
Fine, I'll load up the skidder & bring it along just for kicks lol. BTW DNH , did you ever get that trencher running? My grandson is pretty sure I'm gonna build/buy him a skidder too. That machine would be a good platform to start with.
If you're up for hauling that up here, I'll make good on the fuel for the trip. I'll pm DNH a minute. Thanks Kev!
Looks like Adam beat me to it. I was thinking I could bring my smaller kubota to haul me and the saws around. I could load it into a covered trailer and camp in there. The kids may want to set up a tent, they have two set up in the back yard as we speak lol. What's the skidder you got?
