Luckily I m close enough to the coast to only get a couple inches tonight. We had that chit last spring but more like 2 feet. It’s a dam cold wind coming from Canada too.

You live in a totally mindless climate. 80 degrees in early May and snow the last week of June. Thunderstorms almost daily and tornado warnings weekly all summer. We just have roller coaster temps and lots of wind that we know what’s happening. North is colder, west is blowing hard, south is warm, and East is bad.

That is wonderful news. All hills up his way. Hope you will have a good spot for your garden. Post some pics sometime. How much land did you buy?

We have seen some white stuff off and on, but nothing is sticking to the ground. Lucky for us this time the coast is saving us from being dumped upon. It is wet and cold. Our new mini-split heat pump is keeping us warm today.

Our rivers are so low, we never even got the spring raise in levels of any sort on the Contoocook (it is 2 blocks away from me). I got a good 6" or so of snow, but even though it was very wet, sloppy snow, the moisture out of what we have gotten so far is only about 1.5". Still, that is twice as much as my area has gotten since March 1 (nothing but a couple of dustings all of March and then .75" or rain about 10 days ago).

I went against my better judgment and hooked up the water at the cottage thinking all was warm enough. Well, it was until the low 20's are showing up three times in the next week!

I should only have to drain down about 1/2 of the system though...... (I hope  )

Same here, WWW rigged a hummingbird feeder to it would not blow in the wind and 1) drain all the sugar water, and 2) not attract racoons. I can't get it off, hoping it does not freeze & crack the glass (it's a fancy one gifted to me at my old house, we had tons and tons of them there).

Yup it is a little bitter today. Had to go to damriscotta first thing this morning. That was miserable. Wind howling and a little rain.

Next week I'm going to our upcoming new location to help set up the store, build the shelves and so forth. That'll be interesting.

the human resources manager asked me if I'd do it, I pointed at the store manager at my location, standing nearly arms length away, and excitedly said "you mean I won't have to deal with HIM!!??"

Thanks haha. It'll be pretty quiet and easy going, building the shelves may get a tad repetitive but could be worse. No customers is a big plus
