I just made our first fire of the day after supper, we have some cherry and pine going in the Liberty.
32° out, and the wind makes it feel much cooler. It will get down to 22° overnight. Elm in the quadrafire 75° in the stove room. We had 67° the other day, but there's a cold front here now. This weekend it's going to be 66 and then 68°.
It got up to 70F today, and still 53 outside now. No woodstove usage tonight. We are in false spring. I'm sure at least 2 weeks of april will be rainy type weather.
We had 32.3 this morning with another load of pine and cherry providing the heat. Yesterday NOAA had us getting 8 inches of snow but by late last night they dropped it to 2. Since the snow is the wet heavy chit along with some wind, I'll wait another day before starting to cut again. We did put in a small load of cherry this morning.
Was forecasted to be 6 below . Coldest I've seen this morning is 6 above . It is blowing about 15 to 20 tho. Seasoned aspen at the house sit in town and will be seasoned fire killed white spruce at the homestead. We got 6" of snow yesterday @ the homestead so I have to plow out this morning. About 4" here in town. Then I've gotta grind up about 50 lbs of caribou that I diced up last year. Have had it frozen since then as the freezer was too full for more packaged meat. And I was too busy .
Did you need some snow Gasifier? Rained most of the night turned to snow about 630. At least 4” on deck less on ground where not drifted
40’s here today supposed to dip down into the 20’s tonight. NH blend of red oak, red maple at white birch in the stove.
10* and spruce keeping it warm, gut to 20mph. This was the drive going into work for my midnight shift.
21 degrees here this morning. I kept the stove running hot with large splits of red oak every 5 hours. I really need to get next year's wood cut and split but I have been working 7 days a week... I gotta make MY projects a priority or its going to be a cold winter.
16 this morning buy the sun came up clear. Had to cover my ears out there this morning. A friend who lives 50 miles east of us got 4 1/2" of snow yesterday. We got 10 snowflakes. High was 36 yesterday.
