It seemed as though the chain wasn’t sharp or the rakers were too high. Saw RPM seemed high relative to how fast you were progressing with the cut.
Yep, lots of dust and almost no load on the saw and you were putting some serious pressure on it. Good way to burn up a saw, bar, and chain. Set the rakers, dress the bar, and have an even better day.
Yes my chain was due for a raker file. I have one of those Oregon electric sharpeners but they have a design flaw where the chuck for the bit mars the plastic so it can't lock the chuck to release the sharpening stone, waiting for one I got on ebay to come in the mail. Otherwise, I've since changed the chain.
