There is a large dog that keeps biting people and as far as I know, nothing has been done about it. There have been two incidents so far this year of reported bites by the same dog.

    "Authorities" are involved, but..... :picard:

Can't something be done about it?

I find it interesting and more evidence of typical double standards. It is a "rescue" dog.....wonder what the history of it is??? Ssme problem?

If anyone else's dog had two biting incidents in less than 3 months, the dog would be on final notice and not given the benefit of the doubt by saying "it's trying to adjust to new surroundings!" I believe there may be some municipalities where this dog would be euthanized.

About 14 years ago we were helping with a Marine Corp fundraiser in honor of a Marine who died from cancer. (There was alcohol involved. Or am I being redundant.) Anyhow I get call from F-Troop, Fairview Twp police and he starts telling me that at our farm, our border collie bit one of his officers and he needed vet records. I wanted to tell him I needed the officers medical records, but my wife took over. Did I mention the alcohol thing?
We ended up quarantining the dog for a week. And thought this was the end of the story.
About a year later our daughter, Ellen, is in 6th grade and they have a police officer come in to explain what they do...
At the end of this the officer asks for questions and one of the kids asks "Have you ever been shot?"
The officer says no, but I was bitten by a mean dog.
My daughter's friend, Sara, asks " Was it a border collie?"
The officer's face turned red and he said yes.
Sara pointed to Ellen and said "That's her puppy!"
    Ellen crawled under the desk...
Fly Girl, the border collie lived to 14 and only ever bit a cop. We think maybe the cop was at fault.

Same story, same outlet, in a parallel universe: President's rabid dog with purported ties to the Aryan Nation and under investigation by the FBI, DHS, and ATF found shredding unarmed Muslim-transgender-black-person of small stature into a hundred pieces, silence from the liar in chief...

If the dog is biting unprovoked and for no "reason", then kill it. The "next time" might be a kid and the outcome could be a lot worse. Too bad the first person wasnt carrying and able to fix the problem to begin with.

An isolated incident like that, yep. Not the dog. Dogs know better than we do about a person's character.
