Couldn't help ourselves. It was sunny and in the mid fifties and the bug bit. We opened up the camper for the year. Ice is still on the lake but getting really sketchy. We are already talking if it doesn't drop or get precipitation white or wet that Mama Bear and I may just do Easter here. 20210320_181816.jpg

I had to work today and went to a different area. Lakes down east are starting to open. Won’t be long. 63 and sunny next 3 days is going to take its toll.

It is unbelievable how beautiful this evening has been. This is the earliest we have ever camped. Enjoying a fire, quiet, and the stars. 20210320_201606.jpg 20210320_210426.jpg

With no one else around, making it even better!

Is that a natural lake or a river/reservoir/flowage type of body of water? Any arrowheads to be found in that region?

Natural lake that is 1 1/2 × 5 miles square. One of my bucket list things is to find an arrow head. The guy that owns the place has lived here his whole life and scoured the shores and never found one. I have heard of some areas that artifacts have been found an hour or so from me and I need to make a point to just do it.

I see what you did there! Lots of public lands prohibit the collecting of points....be sure to check.

Yeah, I sure would like to find some too. A "friend" has one scraper/flesher (I think) and a bunch of pottery pieces.

    This guy I know.
