Is this an actual poll or survey for members, or a plug to watch the video?

Zero. But I give some away to family and friends.

[QUOTE. Does sound like he is looking for subscribers and customers for his business . I also hoard for myself but have been known to sell a few pickups worth to my hay customers if they in a pinch.

I have sold 0.54 cords total. Just started this year. I have 4+ years of wood and keep cutting. While the asset seems to keep appreciating, the storage space also has inherent value so I’m trying to find a balance. I enjoy cutting and splitting as well as getting the most out of all available wood including dead, down and punky. Doing this allows me to sell the good stuff.

And I don’t mind him pushing his channel. It’s firewood related and he is putting in video what we all regularly put in words and pictures to get our “likes”. Now we are going to need jrider to make a video. Problem is he is too busy cutting and splitting to do the video production. Perhaps the discovery channel can send a film crew to document the processing of 300 cords in a year.

I would take videos but you have to post to YouTube first and it’s too much like work. Haha. I’m typing this during a cutting break.

That’s awesome that firewood carries you through the slow months of work! I agree with you about how rewarding splitting and selling firewood can be:yes:I had a scare this year with frostbite as well and ended up losing the skin off the ends of all my fingers except my thumbs. So glad it wasn’t worse than it ended up being, but boy, was it painful:hair:I enjoy your videos when I come across them. Your not the first member to have a channel and your hopefully not the last. Go right on doing what you do:yes:

It is both. I noticed that there wasn't any posts on this topic here. I'm not surprised that the majority of answers so far say zero or none recently. But what can I expect, firewood hoarders are the total opposite of sellers! As a content creator, the enormous world of creator assistance regarding youtube channels encourages posting on social media to get views. However, the information is useful to others as they are topic-specific. I contribute regularly to this forum with chat and pictures.

Heavy pushing for subscribers is frowned upon in the youtube sphere. Really I hope that the snippet at the beginning of this video is irrelevant on this forum. I do not need to advertise my product in these forums. I never have and never will have a shortage of customers being in a big city of 4 million with another 3 million in surrounding cities (thats not mentioning the enormous outdoors market beyond the populated areas. 99.9% of the people in forums live too far from me to pick up or have delivered some firewood. Most of you live in a different country to begin with. I would imagine that the majority of people in this forum that live in Ontario are out-of-towners, too far away from me to do business with and have cheaper prices locally ($225/ bush cord vs my price of $300). I do have city prices, but most people get ripped off (and they come to me after) but I give a perfect load, straight pieces like as if it's lumber, almost perfectly consistent length and volume for each log.

Below is a picture of me stacking a customer's logs. He said to not put it up against the wall and my love of firewood made me happily spend an hour wheelbarrowing to the backyard and stacking this half bush cord for only $15 US extra.

Over 95% of video creation is off-camera. Not everything is pleasing to everyone, but I take a neutral approach to everything and get what you can out of it that is useful to you. You can learn from your enemy, you can learn from information that you're not interested in, you can learn from a child.

More pictures on the way. If I would like to be known for anything it would be for knowing the primal essence of firewood and its uses for sustenance as one of the most basic and common resources of the earth
I don't know, its just second nature to me
