The next few days should be ideal for stacking wood. Today has been beautiful with the temperature around 55, no clouds and only light wind. Nice!

My good friend Redneck split most of that. All white oak. Thanks Randy.

That's a lot of stacking to do!

I got 2.5 truck loads I have to stack but we got someone coming tommorow to look at buying our horse trailer and I got to pull some stuff off and get after it with the pressure washer, so got to do that first!

I’m way behind, and have splitting to do before stacking. I agree this is ideal weather, Dennis. Getting it done now, before the bugs, is my favorite time for wood.

Yes. Once the bugs are flying and crawling it is not so much fun. Skeeters usually come out around May 20 every year here. If we don't get much rain they may not be too bad this year.

Oh wow that would be amazing. We had some real warm days last week or week before and they were already out. But to not have them out during turkey season would be wonderful!

Stacking is my least favorite task. Especially if I plan on taking pics to post on FHC. Than I have to make a work of art as well, so Im not embarassed to show those who make the perfect stacks. (You all know who you are:salute:) I find I need to be in a certain state of mind to stack. Or just have the boys do it, that seems best.

I didn't stack a lot yesterday as even after the surgery my neck still hurts when lifting or even doing odd jobs and that says nothing about my back... But I'll be back out there soon this morning. Probable work a short time, take a break then stack some more.

Slow and steady wins the race Dennis. Take it as easy as you need to. :stack::stacker:
