Wind was strong yesterday but not as strong as predicted. This seems to be a trend. Weather forecasts bad conditions that rarely pan out. I wish they could get a strong dose of reality and quit trying to preach doom and gloom. Oh, but millions of people will be affected... Like this is something new.

30 outside, sunny with a light breeze. Box elder burning in the stove while springtime birds announce their presence.

54 and sunny out right now, basswood in the OWB.

Calling for high 50s maybe 60 this weekend. No snow left.

Cut up the last load of red oak I had at work today.

Thank you, it's some wet heavy stuff. Looking like it's going to be a nice drying year though, early, sunny and windy spring. Should do some good drying

All of our snow is gone but the frost hasn't come out yet. Until it does, the top layer of ground is still a bit slick and not too safe to work on with a chainsaw. Maybe the rain this next week will help draw the frost out.

I'm hoping so as well, top is thawing out into a muddy mess, but still frost in the ground, I'm hoping the rain pulls most of it out.

Another day of 50's and sun here also. I managed to give both vehicles a bath yesterday as they sure needed it!

Reloaded with elm, some other elm, then more elm.
Elm degrees in the elm household.
