I spent 3.5 hours weed whacking this morning and still have more to go:hair: Thats what happens when I wait over two months to do this but between excessive amounts of work and a broken foot I just havent been able to keep up with the yard.

I share your pain. I have all I can do to do 10 minutes of trimming.

That's why I bought the wife a cordless. It's hers so she uses it all the time. Really helps around the house.

Ha Ha, I'm. Running the cordless when I can . My wife seldom steps foot on the lawn. ( high fall rick) . If I didn't have a lawn tractor, nothing would get trimmed.

Mine is an FS 90R. It's pretty violent for the majority of trimming, but great for the heavier stuff. I actually like her cordless, when she lets me use it.

My honey does a good job of mowing when I'm lamed up. She's not really a machine fan and doesn't even like to get near em much, but she is always willing to help. I'm very lucky.

Wow.. that's a lot of wacking! Good luck with the rest of it..

I do about 1.5 hours worth every other week (every 2nd cutting of grass I walk the weeds).

I hope you have a good weed wacker with a padded shoulder strap. I will never go without a strap now. They sell a kit that will mount to any unit for less than $20 and takes a lot of weight off your arms.

I hate weed eating. Rough on the arms and more so my back. I have the Kombi setup, KM130. Works ok, though it could benefit from a bit more power for the taller stuff.

I do it maybe once or twice a summer. If my ZTR can't get to it... oh well!

I thought the 130 had plenty of power?

By far the most powerful and torquey unit I have owned and operated.

How tall is the stuff you cut?

2-4ft depending on area. I run the X line too which pulls some power. Stuff can cut branches even without trouble. Just have to be careful around house siding and stuff like that.

Man you guys make me feel like an amateur! I do about 25 minutes a week... I went overkill and bought an Echo gas trimmer that's got some insane strength to it....

Usually it only takes about 2 to do the whole yard around the house the barn sheds and ditch I didnt get to the barn or back half of the property but its been awhile since I did this. Im running a Husqvarna it does a good job getting stuff torn up I would like to get a strap for it my back is a little sore right now.

I'm not a weed whacking fan either, one of my least favorite yard chores to do.
I will whack the front yard everytime I mow but the back stays as is for every other mowing.

Loaned my weedwhacker to a guy who lives down the road from me. Still haven't got it back or heard from him...and I'm ok with that for now.

Those cordless ones very light. Not really long enough to balance them with a cord. Mine is adequate. There are some twice as powerfull. The who cordless industry is changing as new battery improvements are made.
