    JUST AN FYI
Close friends went in yesterday afternoon to get their Covid shots.
(They are early 50's...I recommended NOT TO)

She passed away late last night.....reaction it would seem.

Think long and hard before rolling up your sleeve..
    This was a senseless death.
    Just sayin

Nothing is guaranteed, nothing is perfect. MANY people have died from the regular flu vaccine in the past, and in MOST cases, there were other underlying issues. Given the almost total lack of news reports of deaths due to this vaccine, I think the reward greatly outweighs the risk.

    Hey....
It is a choice that each person has to make for themselves.
News reports are generally slanted....and avoid the controversial notes.

Over 109 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through March 15, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 1,913 reports of death (0.0018%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths. CDC and FDA will continue to investigate reports of adverse events, including deaths, reported to VAERS.Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS)

    Yup
    I have read the reports.....
Still this vaccine is brand new..unproven in the long haul.
I have been around folks with the Covid...I may have had a touch of it in Feb 2020...
No worse for the wear.....Chances very good that I will not need to worry about it...

My friends wife was a picture of health.....no issues.
She started having trouble within a short time of getting the poke.

She lasted only a few hours.

    Coincidence ???? I doubt it.

My feeling is to be really certain about rolling up the sleeve.
    Again.

Each person needs to make the choice for themselves.
My choice was made a long time ago......

    Thank you so much.....

I am not trying to tell folks what to do.....just want people to be well informed and be certain before they step up.
Once the stuff is in ya...too late to have second thoughts.

We just lost a family member to the Covid virus.

She had been over the fever and most of the symptoms for a few days.....had a MASSIVE stroke.
Took her straight away. 58 YO and in great health.....
    A tragic loss.
Not sure about things as yet....I have a big question as to whether she was on aspirin during the Covid.

This helps prevent clots BIG TIME.

After the shock and stuff wears away some we may here more data from the immediate family...

    On a much lighter note.

Munchy has been getting very hard to roll outside lately.

The casters on the HF dolly were crap.
One wheel had gotten a flat spot....2 others were getting close.

Decided to put some better wheels on Munchy.
Large 12" diameter rubber tired wheels on one end and heavy duty casters on the other end...

    MUCH MUCH BETTER...

We use Munchy about every other week to keep the supply of stove ready shells full up.
Having to fight this beast in and out of the shop was getting to be a PITA

    Yes, it is very sad.
Hopefully they can follow up on the actual cause.

    Today dawned dark and dreary.
about 5:30 am I get a text from my tenant that lives downstairs in our little apartment.
    Pellet stove not operating ....ARRRRRRGH.
    Quadrafire 1000
1993 vintage...been a good stove. But been run hard as the only heat in the unit.

I head down and fool with the stove.... Will feed pellets, lite...then run for a short time and go out...

Adding an extra handful of pellets will get the stove to run for about 15-20 minutes, room fan comes on and then the stove shuts off....Requires a reset button poke to get the same thing again.

Some snooping revealed a bad thermocouple.

Sadly the only one close at hand was the one in our Quad upstairs (Used it during the ice storm last month on the gen set)

Ripped our stove apart and swapped the Thermocouple to the stove in the apartment.

Gave it a go.....took right off. soon as we had a good fire the auger started back up and things completed a cycle with no issue.

Let the apartment cool off and then allowed it to run another cycle.

    Good to go.

    Two new Thermocouples ordered.

The issues started me thinks back a few months when I cleaned the stove..
Found the ceramic cover over the thermocouple was missing the tip.

Likely the thermocouple got scorched way too much during the time with the cover gone.

I replaced the cover with a new one...Damage already done me thinks.

The thermocouple end that fits in the ceramic cover just crumbled.

Anyone with a QUADRAFIRE....Keep a spare ceramic cover in your parts box...with a fresh igniter as well.
A thermocouple in the parts box is good too.

These do not fail on a warm summer evening......

Spare parts are real plus to have.

Nobody local had a thermocouple in stock....glad we had a spare stove to rob parts from...

Was an aggravating day....but the good ending was finding the stimulus check in the bank account this afternoon.

The lady that rents my apartment got her Covid shot last night....she is doing fine...
    This is a good thing...

She is happy....the stove is fixed....warm apartment and feeling good.

The other day she suffered an torn retina....got that fixed too...
    Been a helluva week...

Yesterday evening the doorbell rang. Yes, that is odd, I rarely have visitors . Those that I do have, I am expecting and am out in the driveway before they are even out of their vehicle.

Given the above, and looking out the window to see a car in the driveway (means it wasn't a neighbor), I expected the person to be selling something. A guy was standing there, and he started out with, "I know this is a strange question, . . . "

No, he wasn't a long lost family member or anything, but a dude that was driving by and saw the collapsed tent garage. He was wondering if I wanted to sell the cover (which although stretched, is still in good shape). He has one of the older, stronger frames, but his cover is shot. After telling him I thought a former coworker was going to take it, I got his name and number in case she decided not to (after all, the frame is shot).

I got ahold of said friend and she said she had gotten a good frame from someone else over the winter, and it is neither the right shape or size for the cover. I texted the guy and he will be over today to disassemble the thing. Not sure how well it will go since the center still holds a good chunk of snow, and the ton of pellets in the back are supporting a lot of the weight as well as being trapped.

The last couple of days I have thought about seeing if I could pull the frame forward into the yard to free the pellets and was contemplating giving it a go this weekend, so dude's timing couldn't be better.

    Good deal there B
We have a friend that lost here framed/tarp type garage.
The wind back in Sept thrashed it and thew ice finished it off.

Sadly these types of covers just don't stand up to Ma natures raging behavior.

Yeah we've got a Shelter Logic 10x10x8, got it about 6 years ago. original cover lasted 2 years then got a tear on the top left of roof. Patched it with 8 in wide tape on the inside and sprayed some FlexSeal on the outside. Then put a 12x12 tarp over the top, secured with bungee cords. Had to replace the tarp last year. They sell a heavy duty cover which last time I looked cost $400, I think I only paid $200 or so for the whole thing (was on sale at Tractor Supply).

Couple of our neighbors have similar shed-in-a-box, all had to put tarps on top after a couple years.

Got my first back shot yesterday. Was ordered to lay low for a few days. I have to sit a little bit, Stand a little bit and walk a little bit. They didn't mention napping so I'll just nap a lot! :p

Dreaming up a new kitchen for the house we looked at. Only part of the house I hated.

I was dyeing for corn beef hash, But we ate all the corned beef. But did have a can of Hormel on the shelf. Tried a lil soup up deal(copped onions-green peppers and garlic) seasoned with celery salt-black pepper and thyme Did a lil sir fry to brown it up(I like mine crispy) and 2 eggs over easy and woow.

That did not taste like canned corn beef at all.

Never. Our worst was a part that took (a couple weeks?) to get here while we were in a deep freeze, wood stove choochin' but needed electric space heaters for the other rooms, e- bill was over $400 that month
