I remembered, then forgot.. was out splitting and stacking.. referenced my watch for the time.. got ready for work at a leisurely pace, looked at my phone, realized I hadn’t changed my watch, and then hit the panic button.. fortunately I usually leave for work early so with a little extra push in the gas pedal. I made it on time... at least I got an extra hour of work done in the yard...
Many New England states have proposed switching to Atlantic time zone in the last few years. Maine, new Hampshire and Connecticut were on board. Sounds like NY had to commit. Parts of MA and even more so, parts of Maine are so far east that they are already in the realm of Atlantic time zone. It is awesome having darkness at 4:15 pm in the fall. So many of us look forward to the plunge into early darkness.
Yeah, I could deal without the change. I’m usually up before the sun comes up year round so more light in the afternoon would be better for me. At the last employer it really sucked in the winter going in before the sun came up and getting out after the sun had set. One of the many reasons I’m glad I don’t have to go to that he’ll hole any more!
We worked retail at the same place for several years, had different days off in the week, (he'd proof/edit/type) my papers for me, yes, a real typewriter back then. Anywho, more than one spring he showed up back at home at 11:15 after leaving for work at 10:45 ( I had Sundays off for studying).
The sad part is, I have woken up between 3:00 and 3:30 am the last 3 mornings just like the time change never happened. And that is without an alarm going off.
No - this is a 2014 with the original sync and myford touch. Most likely the reason I have such issues, looking at page 467 of the manual, is I can't really see the icon on the touch screen that would get me to settings (D). Touch screens are not my friend. The car doesn't have a touch screen, but actual buttons that are fairly large
I liked the time change this time, since it took an hour off night shift...... It's a little harder to drive home in the dark......but I like the extra light in the evening.
I see. On my Sync3, it's literally 4 touches. Settings. Clock. Hit up 1 hr, then exit to main screen. So it's gotten easier at least.
Changed the clock in the car yesterday when I went to the dump. Clock button, hit the up button once, media button (to get off the clock setting) done. Didn't even have to look it up - which is good because I would have been thumbing thru an actual book instead of being able to search for "clock" on a pdf. I should probably download a copy of the owner's manual just for convenience.
thankfully, I didnt struggle with the change this year. Sunday & Monday mornings I was up later than usual both to bed and getting up, but I was able to get to sleep at a normal hour Monday, and Ive been up at my normal time every other day except today. Finally a new mattress that came yesterday may have something to do with sleeping in today though.
Not a problem here with changing the clock in the car. Last Sunday all I had to do was drive a couple miles and the clock changed to the right time. Almost like an atomic clock
