Good Morning, Brothers & Sisters Thread

I worked for 30 years at the same place. Chasing the almighty dollar is senseless. Spent all that time collecting “stuff”. It’s just stuff and doesn’t mean anything. I decided to enjoy the last 20 or 30 years I have left.

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a MARVELOUS MONDAY. 61° headed to low 70's, cloudy. Rain moving in tomorrow and getting cooler here too.
Still on nights, got 2 more to go.
Probably going to trim up some crepe Myrtle and clean up downed limbs, put them on the burn pile. Need to go get some oak we cut out of a field road before I forget it again.
This is the day GOD has made, I will REJOICE and be GLAD.

After both of us working 45+ years for corporate America, my wife and I are now comfortably retired. If we hadn't chased the dollar, and saved/invested the majority of it, we wouldn't be able to do whatever we want to these days.

Spending that dollar frugally, sure beats chasing it!

Good morning everyone! Cold today, but 50's and 60's in the 10-day! Today, dump run, laundry etc., and maybe a haircut. Sooner or later the phone is gonna ring and it will be our accountant, wanting to go over our taxes. He's a great guy but I always dread that call.
More eggs. Sent him home with another dozen, they still haven't eaten all last weeks.

Hit and missed. Running low. Have actually used about a face cord of next years wood. Once this barn is built, there would be more opportunity to work on wood. He is planning on bucking and staging wood in there to be split. Then splitting can be done if it rains or snows. Plus out of direct sunshine also.

 

Merry Monday morning! Chilly this morning. Only going up to about 37* today with various types of precipitation in the forecast. Yesterday was busy so not much done around home except for mounting a light bar on the John Deere 445. I'll probably putter around in the barn after work, seeing what small projects I can wrap up, or start 3 or 4 more to leave more tools and materials strung out all over... Wait, I shouldn't do that.

 

Morning All. Freezing this morning. I thought all our snow would be gone by now but it isn't. The last few years, the south end of the island has always been getting the snow but it was our turn this winter. Sun came out in the afternoon so I thought everything would melt off but the temps didn't get that warm. I am sure it will be gone by tomorrow.
