Tree id's

Got 2 trees that I cut this winter, going to be getting them cut up soon. Not 100% sure what they are.

 

I’m guessing red maple and elm

 

That's better then what I was guessing, I was just going to stack it with the basswood, popple and willow. I will put it with the better wood then.

 

Looks like sugar maple. Excellent firewood. Better than red oak, dries in a year. Ill take it over oak any day. Get some pics of rounds and splits when the time comes.

 

This.... I also swear 80% of the Red Oak I get is filled with mother loving ants.

 

They make rice crispies firewood...snap, crackle and pop in the fire!
