Posted an ad on FBM this morning for $100 per truck load. Had a customer lined up in a couple hours! Feels good to turn some hard work into $$$ and be another step closer to a 400i! I better go out and CSS another couple loads tomorrow before the rain starts!
Someone complained to me yesterday about having to buy 5 cords this winter for their boiler. She thought $225 for 2.5 cord load was too expensive. She knows I have tons of wood and I was thinking don’t ever ask me to buy wood.
It is a good feeling to turn hard work into cash. What kind of wood was it? You still working that honey locust score? How many loads out of there so far?
Probably, because their wood rack was close to empty and we will have more cold nights ahead. I think their house was built in the late 18th century, so it is probably a little drafty.
The stuff I sold was ash and maple, the guy said he’d be back, said he burns 5 loads a year. Got another response all ready, wants a small load... why not?
buZZsaw BRAD how many loads you sell in a year? The way you go at it you must make some substantial income.
Few are getting rich doin it, but it is a great way to finance toys and to be honest, is quite addicting! Can’t wait to see the 400i!
Passive aggressive and obviously never cut her own wood before!! If you’re planning to sell more Dakota Hoarder , don’t ever let firewood go for less than you think it’s worth or want to get out of it. You’ll always have people who want it and you’ll always run out before you thought you would.
I charge the same for boiler wood and she would crap if i quoted her. Its actually more work dealing with bigger/heavier pieces
