I'm really sorry to hear about your wife, I heard Fibro is difficult to manage. If a different mattress could help me sleep better and get more hours as hip/shoulder/knee pain wakes me constantly all night every night, my husband would agree to buy or do it himself in a heartbeat. Do what you can to get her as comfy as possible to perform like or as close to as most people, taking care of a sick disabled wife is chore. And heartbreaking.

    Happy wife, happy life.

Thankfully, hers isnt as bad as it could be. One of the beds we were looking at was 100% latex, and it really cradled your entire body. Might be worth checking out.

no, but if it takes the stress off your hip/shoulder issues that could be good

I was wondering if you needed a special mattress - for the average person, a decent mattress doesn't run nearly that much. I used to know someone with that affliction (the fibromyalgia, not the wife :p), and know that it isn't easy to live with.

We bought a $2k mattress 5 years ago. It was plush so it gave her what she needed, but it was 100% the wrong mattress for me and my back issues that have got worse in the past few years. Individually, neither of us needed the $4k one, but for us on the same bed, we needed it.

Mwalsh9152 It was more about keeping her out of pain than making her happy. Amazing how if your back doesn’t hurt you are happier.

if she gets another dog in our bed Will buy a single bed for me .

What a surprise this morning. It was forecasted and I didn't believe it. This is the most we have had this winter and it is still coming down.

With the snow that melted over the last week or so, my wife and I have been cleaning up the yard from dog doody. We counted 10 bags full when all added up. We stayed on top of "yard patrol" until the snow started falling this winter, and it still was this much. Oh well, at least we are caught up now and this will help for any yard work, from stick pickup, 2 weeks from now the ash trees getting felled by an arborist friend of a friend, and ultimately, lawn mowing.

I checked with that link you provided. Same date for us.
I am having a mini split heat pump installed. With the stimulus money and the efficiency maine rebate of $1000, I'll only have $200 out of pocket paid out. The cost of heating with those units is comparable to that of wood pellets. The real savings comes from the cost of air conditioning. far cheaper than standard AC units. I know several folks with these and not one regrets having them installed.

Hope you feel better and that it isn't the virus. Wife and I both have had both shots. Doesn't mean we won't get sick, just that it shouldn't kill us.

You are right, way too many fires this year. For those who may not know, Scot Linkletter is an owner of the MWP operation. My favorite pellet for price/quality.

Yes Larry, 2 kids and 2 adults in 3 fires in just a few days is kinda unheard of any more. And it is not just that but other members here as well dealing with loss and injuries from fire. Just a very sad thing. We had an old house trailer a mile or so away from our house burn in about 2012/2013. Old dumpy trailer with no working smoke alarm lost 3 young kids. I just couldn’t drive by that for the longest time, the trailer was left there until just a couple years ago someone bought the property. There was 3 teddy bears there that someone would put out or replace for many years to represent the kids.
