Test your bark id skill

L to R, black locust, persimmon, ash, red oak. The round in back far left is sycamore?

 

My bark id skill is crap.

So, I'll call it all firewood.

 

You got the ash right and the one in the back is not bark less.

I was looking to see if the checking pattern looked familiar with the one on the right.

 

The one you guessed persimmon on may not be in Connecticut. I’m unsure of it’s climate range

 

I dont think it is, but have seen pics of it on here. Bark is rather unmistakable on it.

 

Yes and has amazing fall color, the one on right does too.

persimmon then black locust then black walnut and amer beech in the back left now the 1 in front of the beech no clue

 

I am no expert, but I think you are most likely right.
