Got the fiskars last week and figured I’d give a workout this afternoon between shifts. Sure is nice to swing compared to the maul. Still need the maul for the nastier stuff, but boy is that axe easier on the body and doesn’t seem to wear me out as fast. Split this pile in Less than an hour and a half! They are indeed great splitters.

I love the isocore, I'm a cheap skate and laughed at spending that on a splitting maul, but after braking my 4th or 5th handle on my old maul I got to looking online and that one was the top of every list, so broke down and got it. Boy what a difference, I have split many many cords with it now

Can’t imagine splitting what I split without it!

I love the X27 vs the Isocore. 90% of my wood is split with it. My Collins axe head mushroomed a bit too much opening up the eyehole thus loosening the handle. Looking for another.
The Isocore good for halfing big uns.

Hi I’m Brandon. I’m a recovering cheapskate too! Not always convenient to drag the splitter out for an hour of splitting so trying to make it easier to justify doing some splitting by hand more often and make it a bit easier. Really happy with it so far

Really glad I got it. Thanks for the advice:handshake: May end up with the isocore before all is said and done! This’ll do for now

I split wood for many years with just an axe. It works.
