Good tune if you’re a fan of Nirvana
I have a decision to make on my next saw. All are brand new, which one would you get?

I voted 500 if it were me but I looked at what you already have. Interested in what you think.

Looking like a 400 would fill a void for you.

Yes, one of my favorite bands ever. I saw them in chicago at the metro/ smart bar before they got huge.

    I voted 500i.

I’ve never used anything between 50 and 70 and question the value of a between 50&70 and 70&90 saw. 70 is a do all sweet spot imo and having several is appealing. FI throttle response is attractive, but after seeing a stock 044 step on it, I’m having 2nd thoughts. I love Stihls new light saws. They’re a game changer for me in my advanced age. I like having older saws that are in mint condition that someone might pay a premium for someday. Lol

It has an odd looking muffler on it. It’s a silverish color. Something I’ve never seen on a Stihl and gives me pause to whether it’s a genuine nos saw, or a weird rescue fire fighter model.

I went 400 because it’s not in North America yet. So I could sell it for a 500i.

i guess I should have just said 500i

It’s in the 2021 catalogue, so I’m assuming I can order it.

I can order a 25y/o Russian bride with a choice of size & color too, doesn't guarantee delivery though. Ported 036XS & MMWS 044 are my go to saws. That being said, I think I'd spend for a ported 500i. I ran one & it was impressive for the weight & power.

Don’t own a stihl and never will. Guess the survey is flawed. I’d take a Dolmar 9010 though if one were to be had.

Yeah I'd wonder if maybe its a knockoff...my clone 660 looks identical to my brothers real Stihl 660 when sitting side by side...lots of them have been pawned off as the real thing...

You must be 5-8 years younger than me. ;) I'm 49 and a metal head and always have been since I discovered music in 5th grade. Can not stand grunge, although over the years I have come to like some of the older Pearl Jam (Ten) and AIC. Never liked Nirvana, STP, etc.
