Morning All. Freezing this morning but clear enough for a walk. I managed to spend some time in the sewing room and got some quilting done while watching curling so it was a good day. I filed our income tax and so that will be a nice present in a couple of days.

Good afternoon everybody. Started at 33* and now up to 48* with sunshine. Had a nice fire this morning and from here will let the furnace take over for the next couple of days. Kick the fire back on when it cools down again.
Chaz dropped our taxes off yesterday. They needed to know what we got in government refunds so I looked that up this morning. But they are having phone issues so we will see what happens.

Good morning everyone! I've got 4 garden beds cleaned out, and 7 more to go! Some are smallish. Each bed has filled up about 3 paper yard bags. I need to get some bagged cedar mulch, too. I love working outside again. Back in the 40's next week, though.
No wood hoarding going on. There's lots and lots of pine at the dump, but nothing else. I think I'll take a break from hoarding anyway, unless I come across something really sweet. I still have wood from last year that I need to split.

Happy mid-week morning! It's another beautiful day in northern Indiana, although a bit windy. Looks like we'll be returning to the mid-60s before it dips again. Retired all the winter garden flags last night and put out the spring counterparts. Assembled the first of 3 new compost bins. Planning to wash the truck tonight. I really prefer doing it by hand instead of running through the car wash. Might get the first coat of paint on the guest bath. We'll see.

 

Morning All. Not freezing this morning. It was gorgeous outside yesterday and I didn't get out to do anything outside. Midwinter makes me feel guilty that I didn't get outside. Our deck needs scrubbing. But I did get stuff done in the sewing room. Making soup today and bookwork as well as curling to watch.
Headed out for a walk. We haven't been able to walk for a couple of months as the weather has been so nasty so we are enjoying this week of nice weather.

Good morning everybody. Looks about 48 out there. Some real nice melting going on. Mud is showing up right along with it. Should be about 58 tomorrow with rain. Then back to the 30s and upper 20's.

Early morning. Off to the coffee shop. Guiding friends for the next 2 days. I miss cutting firewood....but....

 

Good morning, everyone.

Just above freezing to startt the day. Heading to upper 60's and sunny.

I'll be splitting the hickory I dropped yesterday. I'll bring some wood to the deck rack. Then, off to do some grocery shopping, followed by some deck chair time to watch the snow melt.

This'll be the 3rd day of letting the woodstove go out. It gets fired up again just after sundown. I dothrow a split or two in, when I get up. Once the sun comes up, it takes over heating the house. I'll open a window or two.

Good morning everyone! I came across some oak rounds at the dump yesterday, so I guess my hoarding days aren't over yet. Maybe some good stuff will begin to show up, now that spring is here.
Today, more raking, and off to get my second vaccine shot at 3P. Also will be looking out for a special delivery box of fish!
