Looks like the composition of those Timberlands varies, according to this site. "Mix is 25%-50% Fir and 50%-75% Pine but exact compound varies"

So many pellet producers scrape up every morsel of wood they can get.
In doing so the incidence of Clinker forming materials is common in some brands.

Pine is a good wood for pellets.....
We had a few tons of Heartland pine pellets some years back.....they burned really well.

Pine fir mix....no matter the %% should be good

Yesterday was CLEAN THE STOVES DAY....
Did a good cleaning and LBT on both stoves.

Been too long on the big stove and the performance was showing it......

The internal air/exhaust passages on these stoves leaves a lot to be desired.
Rough edges, sharp corners and other places for ash to collect are very common.

After a few weeks it starts to show.......

All good now...running like a champ again..

Weather has been on and off wet, snow showers, clear and sunny....repeat...

Typically, millwork is mostly all softwood, so they should burn well.

got to clean the stove today... burning Vermonts, super low ash i'm liking them. probably 50 bags in the 52I. should have cleaned oh two weeks ago, but i haven't felt good. finally threw in the towel and went to the ER. i kinda knew what was up. i was in afib, probably for a couple of weeks. you can't breath well because the upper chambers of the heart are beating at 130 to 140 beats per minute and not moving blood to and from the lungs efficiently. same thing happened after my open heart surgery two years ago.

so they put you to sleep, shove a camera down your nose and into your left lung to look for blood clots in the heart, stop your heart, and kick start it to get it back in sinus rhythm. scary, huh? so then i had a virus in my lungs from them not working good to deal with.

on the mend now, thankfully! going to try to determine what triggered it with the doc.

We've been offered an awesome collection of engines currently on display at the CAMA grounds in Kent. just finalizing the the deal formally, but we have a handshake. $140, 000 for twenty odd engines, some very rare, most running.

its a scary time for us to do this, given that we have not been able to have a show in a year. but the Gov just lifted our restrictions, allowing our May 1,2 show to be held!

AFib is the most common heart arrhythmia there is. Nothing to be messed with but as you know, very treatable. Cardio version is usually the last resort but since you were two weeks in they probably figured that was the best course of action. Very lucky you didn’t have a stroke with the blood pooling in your heart. Glad to hear you are feeling better.

Sorry to hear of the malady....
Glad you are on the mend.
My daughters father in law has dealt with afib in the past, and had all the snooping done.
He had an ablation done...seemed to work.
He is an avid Bike rider and owns a bike shop....so he is fairly fit for his age (60's)

    Wishing you all the best.....

Taking advantage of this brief warm spell to get the work done on the Corolla & Rav4. Oil changes, cabin filters, air filters, clean off throttle bodies, front brakes on the corolla (48k on the factory originals). No garage so prefer warmer, dry days to do the work. Corolla just turned 6 (bought new in 2015), still averages 40MPG combined mileage. The brakes are the first thing I've had to do to the car other than replace the battery. Both cars are 2015, figured 6 years on the factory batteries was long enough so I replaced them both a couple months ago.

Also rearranged pellets in the shed, finally using a pallet of Vermonts I bought back in 2018.

Now if I could find a AMD Ryzen 9 5900X or 5950X CPU for MSRP and in stock anywhere for the system upgrade I want to do, I'd be happy. Have had the new MSI X570 motherboard for 3 months, CPUs never in stock. Well they are occasionally in stock at Microcenter in Cambridge but you have to camp out in line Sun or Wed nights (that's when the delivery trucks show up so Mon & Thurs are the days to try and get new CPUs or video cards) usually like 2AM to be in the first 25 people in line when they open at 10. And whatever they got in is usually gone by noon. Too old for that ( did a Black Friday camp out at a Best Buy 20 yrs ago, once was enough) and will not pay scalper prices on Ebay or 3rd party sellers.

Getting my 2nd covid vaccine shot Sat, Goody Coles Smokehouse BBQ on the way home.

I know a young guy who died from that. They couldn’t get his heart restarted during the procedure.

Yah, was a shock. They went into the hospital as it's kind of a standard procedure at least on paper these days. They eventually got his heart kind of working but the damage was done. He was 35? Left a wife who is a friend of ours.

Definitely a WTF did I read? when I saw it. Not all hospitals are created equal, that's something I've learned. There are a couple by me that fit the joke "he arrived and was pronounced DOA. Was later transferred to a better hospital and pronounced alive" kind of situation.

They went to one of the former...
