Plans are being made for our GTG this year on 4/30 - 5/1' There is a thread in the Bulletin Board: Spring GTG 2021 | Firewood Hoarders Club We had one planned for last year but I think everyone knows why that one had to be cancelled. Due to a very difficult time here I had not planned on having one again but have been swamped with guys telling me we would have one this year so I gave in. The people who come will have to do most everything but I will help out with whatever I can. Again we will have a camping spot and although we don't have extra beds, we always seem to have several who sack out on the floor or wherever. I suggest bringing an air mattress and sleeping bag. I do have a couple extra blankets and pillows if needed. There are also extra towels and washcloths. No need to buy water to bring as we have excellent well water here. I'm sure we'll have a few guys who will bring grills and things for cooking. There are 3 things we never seem to be lacking: Food, Drink and a Good Time. I'll try to keep you notified of things as we get closer to the date and will also notify when we start a PM for those who wish to come. For those who have never been to one of our parties, we are easy to find and enjoy people coming from many states. They come from many places and some of the distances are far away, like NH, GA, KS and even Australia. If possible I ask for those planning to come to let me know ahead of time.
Planning on it again this and hope to drag a friend along. Wish my wife would come, but she’s not quite there yet. Tent camping for me and I’ll bring a grill again. Really looking forward to it and seeing many old friends and making some new ones in person. thanks Dennis
I'd love to come but I just don't have the time to take off and I would want to bring the family but due to school I. Ant pull my son out.
Sounds great, I'll have to do some checking but this is high on our list. The wife says "hmmm, close to Frankenmuth"... side trip for her... LOL
We will be there! I'm hoping to try and get The Boss to come along, I think she'd enjoy it...... Miss all you guys and gals!
I will definitely give DexterDay a call to see if he is available! Would not be the same without him and Big Dave brenndatomu in the sugar shack.
Frankenmuth is a touristy German town with family activities and shopping. Bronner's CHRISTmas Wonderland is at the south edge of town and is the largest store I've ever been to that is just Christmas decorations, BY FAR. If we can arrange our schedule to get up there, my wife will for sure head over there for at least a while and would gladly take anyone with her that would want to go.
