We hit zero this morning, the boss shut the pellet stove off and built the fire in the Liberty.

NOAA says were heading for 2 degrees for a low but we're at 4 already, we burned wood during the day but will use the pellet stove for the constant heat tonight.

30 for the morning walk today. First time I hadn't worn gloves the whole way! Even unzipped the jacket for half of it.

At 9:30 last night it was 24. Now, at 8:40 it is 43. Might be a very nice day with more melting going on.

We had - 5.8 this morning, hopefully this will be the last of the minus temps. I shut the pellet stove off and built a nice fire in the Liberty this morning while having coffee with the boss.

37 right now, staying in the mid 30s tonight and up to mid 60s tommorow o_O but sounded like a stiff wind from the south. Got a mix of elm, oak and basswood in the OWB, forgot how much of a pepper smell basswood has, not a bad smell.

30 this morning. hit 70 in the daytime a few days ago, about 50 today. It's that time of the year. Got oak in the stove, low and slow. One fire a day right now. Have gotten pretty good at setting things up to preserve a coal for a relight- haven't used a match in 3 weeks despite going more than 24 hours between reloads on several occasions. Getting close to time to wrap things up for the season. And get ready for 2021-22.

29 here now, Red Maple on last nights coals. Talk of it getting in the 50's today. It's been a while since we've had a daytime high above freezing.
