Nice. I just get seagulls eating spent shiners on the ice.

Anytime we go junk fish fishing we just throw them on the ice for the eagles. We have quite a few in the area and they seem to love pickerel.

We have had a bald eagle show up on my pond for the past two winters. I have yet to see it myself though. I saw them once way up in Maine while snowmobiling once. Pretty cool to see.

They are a big bird when you actually see one up close. Sitting up in a tree or flying they don’t look that big.

I almost hit one a few years ago. I was driving along and out of nowhere an adult eagle missed my windshield by a couple of feet, it flared up just in time from becoming a bug on the windshield. We have quite a few around here, with 2 adults and an immature one living on the big island of Fife Lake. It is flat nasty under that nest.

He’d have been the biggest bug ever... and me thinks there’d be less of a splat and more of a crack....
