Original Gojo hand cleaner is an excellent choice for de-skunking everything. As it is lanolin based and therefore very mild it can be used on pets, people and whatever. Having hunting dogs all my life- only too familiar with stinky problems. (I had a female brittany spaniel - her favorite thing to do was to hunt skunks)

Nope. Neve had any of them spray. Just take it calm and easy.

Was busy last night so had to wait till tonight to update. I was rounding up the neighborhood for a go fund me in case I need bail and to inform them that I need their help next week going in front of the city council. However.... I was threatened with a disorderly conduct charge earlier in the day after catching another skunk. Called city hall for council members names and numbers then asked when the next meeting is, she told them to me and said if I come there I need to wear a mask. I then told the secretary if I can't get ahold of a council member I will come there they all better have good masks because I will be bringing a live stinking kicking skunk. Long story short, city cops called and the chief is a little puke that wouldn't even come see and dispose of a skunk in a trap but warned me not to show up with a skunk, mayor texted me and told me to calm down-when in the history of saying calm down has it ever worked, and finally game and fish showed up and took care of business. What they don't realize is all this drama is all for a reason, there now are multiple official reports, logs and the G&F even had to call state radio informing them he was shooting in city limits because of a skunk. A couple neighbors are now going to contact the state board of health and pursue the property as a public health risk if after our council meeting it appears it is going nowhere. As of now I have 10 neighbors going in with me and we are still rounding up more. I hate getting pushed to this point but being ignored for 5 years has gotten us all fed up. Here are a few pics of this property that is in town, surrounded on all sides by people's homes. 20210302_165922.jpg 20210302_165830.jpg 20210302_165749.jpg 20210302_165714.jpg 20210302_165642.jpg 20210302_165820.jpg

Sad thing is in the last 10 years 5 different people have offered more than its value but the spiteful old witch that owns it refuses to sell. She stays 2 years behind on taxes just so she doesn't lose it. Hasn't maintained it other than if you look at the picture with the back door, she bolted on 4 padlocks to keep the tweakers from stashing drugs in there.

We have a similar problem in my town, & I’m on the town board.
A Run down, overgrown property, won’t sell it, home to skunks and feral cats. Last week at the meeting a neighbor finally came to the board and filed a complaint. So now the process can begin.

not an easy thing to deal with. Probably end up getting the board of health involved. Not sure if the owner even lives in this state.

Out this way too, Colorado and some places in WY, for only the lot, they'd doze the home and build a new one.
We have several homes like that on my road, with the exception of no overgrowth of trees or bushes etc. Stray/feral cats, racoons, skunks, and worst of all, termites. Also not easy to deal with as a couple of those houses are occupied .

Seeing how I have been the most bold about approaching this I would be the prime suspect. However I may have told a neighbor that I'd be a great diversion for any investigation if I were gone camping for the weekend in a couple months and it burns at about 4 am Sunday morning.

If it was in Seattle, the homeless junkies would have already burned it down with what the city council calls an out of control "warming fire."

I don't like being pushed to the point that I become not just a squeaky wheel but one that is squeaky and a glowing hot bearing smoking and ready to ignite. However sometimes that is what it takes to get things done. I came home tonight and feel like it accomplished what was needed. The Skunk House from Hell has had a shal we call it a face-lift and manicure. AMEN!
