Good afternoon all. Sure have been enjoying the sun shine. 28* not counting the wind. Now if we can just get those temps to start going up higher. Not even going to make it to 30 today.

Good Morning. We are getting a lot warmer here. It is 35f at this hour, heading close to 50f. The snow is going fast and the ice around shore is too weak to access the lake by trucks anymore.

Looking for crackers. Not expecting them though. The conservation officers down here will tell you that if you don’t fish them “by the moon” you won’t catch them. They spawn 3 days before and 3 days after the full and new moons. Pretty consistent. They trick you sometimes but I always have my eyes open. I can smell them really well. That is another whole drawn out conversation.

 

Good morning y'all. Hope y'all have a FABULOUS FRIDAY. I'm off today...woo- hope...time to make some chips fly and a little on the side. We are loading up the tractor and saws. Got a pecan tree take down and clean-up job about 20 miles from home to do. Our neighbor, Mike, is going with us. I'll get for later.

I won't be fishing again until ice out, likely early April this year, unless we get another cold snap which delays ice out.

Low 20's and gusty winds to start the day. Single digit wind chills. Wood stove heat feels nice.. Coffee tastes good.

Good morning everyone! Still too chilly and windy to do much outside. I went through some toys yesterday, and brought a carload to the Salvation Army. More of that to do today.
