    Scored a road side scrounge yesterday it had been so long it felt so good after cutting Ash non stop. It appears to be some sort of softwood but I didnt care. I think its white cedar, cypress maybe? But really have no idea thoughts? It seems heavier than the purple colored cedar Ive cut before.

    It does have a resemblance to bald cypress or a close cousin

    I'm not 100% sure but looks like Russian Olive to me. Heartwood is a dark mustard colour, not so much brown like in the picture. It does have that "not dense hardwood but not light softwood" vibe to it

    I have that exact same wood, I believe it's Atlantic White Cedar. I have a bunch that I split up small for kindling, it burns really nice.
