    At first I though tulip poplar or eastern cottonwood, then maybe sassafras, but could that also be a chestnut oak? The bark is reminiscent of one.

    The bark sure looks like cottonwood but if it's been dead a couple of years it should've broken up more from Isaias. Cottonwood falls apart pretty quick once it's dead.

    I really didnt want it beforehand as i thought it was something else. Once i debarked part of it i was really surprised. In a way i sort of still dont want it, but he wants it down.

    The bark is loose enough so when i buck rounds it'll come off with the bark.
