No idea about this site soo,,, buyer beware and all that jazz. Came across my feed and I thought of all the twisted individuals here that may need one of these. Tree Face and Arms Set – greatyhow
That’s awesome, but I wouldn’t put any metal mounts in any of my oaks. There is a group of loblollys I could wound. Firewood poachers beware!
My first thought was that might be nice to put up before our GTG. Then I looked at the price and think we can do without.
There is a beautiful giant red oak in a guys yard in town no doubt over 200years old. He has some of those goofy faces nailed to it. I always cringe when I see it.
Somehow this one is giving me the feeling that it'll be lumped in the same taboo category as those old lawn jockeys some day...
Oh my next door neighbor has a few of those. They moved here from Long Island because they didn’t like it there but keep complaining things arnt done here like on Long Island. Anyways it also appears they go to every yard sale they can find and buy lawn junk. Glass globes, bird baths. Cut outs of fat lady’s bending over ext. and put it in there front yard. I’m glad I can’t see it from my house. Looks like trash to me.
50 years from now i wonder if any future hoarders will ruin a chain by cutting into one of those faces buried in a tree?
A trend I’m seeing right now is restaurants, bars and grills and some homeowners are running string lighting anchored to trees with eye bolts.
Future chain saws will have some sort of sensor that detects metal and stops the chain automatically? Be nice to have that now.
We recently watched the Disney movie WALL E with the kids. Earth is uninhabitable, people live in space stations where they ride around in a pod with a big gulp as an iv drip. Getting so large that they cannot move. It’s really kinda creepy! It’s scary that something like that plot seems like it could be possible.
Would love to place that along the trail to my buddies tree stand Between the screams and smell of crap, I doubt there'd be many deer left nearby.
Or that it’ll even be legal to do so. Probably will be a felony to even harvest downed trees. Or more likely, they’ll allow you to take half rotted ones after applying for a permit, thorough review of your intended use of it by a commission of 1500 agents, and they’ll charge you $250 per board foot for whatever you take. Then if you complain about the bureaucracy, they’ll send you to another department where you can make your case to them, and they will contract your grievance out to another agency to investigate the matter further. In the end it will be determined that the price you paid for said rotted timber was fair, and that they need to create a new agency to regulate prices further and add it into elementary school curriculum to teach kids that an exponentially increasing bureaucracy is good for the country. But I digress
