I went for a mountain bike ride in the morning then in the afternoon I went around to one of my friend/workmates place to see how he was going and check out his new LandCruiser.

It was his last day at work today, (Retirement) He finished up at lunchtime and went and picked up his new truck. It’s the first brand new car he has ever owned!

He took me for a drive in it and dang that turbo diesel V8 sounds beautiful.

For more than twenty years he has been driving this old girl.

And occasionally his sons old LandCruiser.

He is pretty happy with his new Truck.

Well now it seems my day has already been planned out by others. Nursing home administrator just told my wife per phone conversation that her Mother’s room will be cleaned out by us in 36 hours or he will get another $6600.

    alrighty then

Wife is doing just great today. Yesterday was tough for her.

Soon my truck will have a TV, TV stand, night stand, electric lift chair, dresser, and a whole bunch of clothes in it.

He said he needs 24 hours before March 1st to get the room ready for the next occupant who is waiting to get in.

Sweet! Looks like a winner there. Hope the bike ride was good.

I notice a bunch of solar panels. Is that big down there? I took a ride yesterday and was surprised at how many solar panels have sprouted up around here.

Nope, just a good doctor with a good sense of humor. FYI my mom is a witch. :hair::hair:Her birthday is Halloween. Don't worry, I have her permission to say that:yes::yes: A number of years ago when Mom turned 95 one of my daughters-in-law gave her a large pointed black hat for her to wear at her party. She has had fun with that as far back as I can remember.

Plumber came and left, I was not here, partner was. His explanation was "we had a pressure event". Said new pressure regulator, water heater and pressure tank. Here the city's responsibility ends at the street, after that it is on us. They will be back Thursday to put the goodies in. Have their sales guy coming on Tuesday to give a quote to upgrade the current 50 gallon to 75 gallon. Will look at tankless at the same time, but don't think we will go that route. Think I will turn on the water heater tonight while others fill tubs, etc. so I can watch it and turn back off when done with it. One thing I find strange is with the water to it turned off, it has completely stopped leaking. I would think the weight of the water would keep it leaking but no way am I leaving it on unattended.

Yes, that's still going on here, during the days at least. It was around 20° overnight the last couple of nights, but well into the 40's during the days.

Aside from an almost guaranteed big storm, winter is really losing the battle now.
