Couple more loads to haul home from this mission then back to the honey do list (reworking the kitchen a smidge). Have one more big maple and a pine to drop at this house but they will wait till later in March.
That kinda wood adds up quick, don’t it? I’m in the same boat here waiting for the ground to firm up and dry out
What kind of splitter do you have? I split some big sycamore years ago with our 25 ton Yard Machine, gave it a fit...it does have the single step wide wedge. It was some stringy stuff. Good luck with the big rounds.
This a thread from last year, just brought alive because of the sycamore thread. I have a 22t husky splitter and it did just fine.
Been discussing my sycamore I am burning this year so thought I would resurrect this thread from when I hauled these biggins home. Pictures on the the first page.
I have some sycamore in the stacks, but been burning so much dead ash the last few years that I haven't got into my stacks, otherwise I'd probably have used some by now...first world problems, right?!
We really don't have sycamore trees around here, any here are just ornamental. I've never burned or collected any of it.
