I hope so, the last one I bought was around $200 and shopped hard for the best price.

HA!! Yes, very dry winter here, but the winds found just enough snow to make a few small drifts, they are chocolate brown from the silt from the wind, pup has clods of mud on her feet when she comes in, going to be fun keeping up with that for awhile ... Idk, she seems to like the drifts, comes in with mud on muzzle almost ever time :loco:

I had to replace mine a few years ago. Exides were like 110 115 $. Mine is a 2012. If you have the earlier body style up to 08 it’s even cheaper for those ones, group 78. And yes I am in cold climate zone so get the higher amp batteries.

Yesterday morning I started snow blowing at 5AM. I'm sure the neighbors were impressed**, but I start work at 6 and the temps were supposed to get above freezing. I was pleasantly surprised that most of the moisture had leached out of the snow so I was able to use speeds 3 & 4 except for the berm from the town plow. That made for a nice quick 30 minute session even with blowing all the paths for guiding melting snow away from the house.

After work, I was beating the ice off the driveway and ramp to back door. It would have been a nightmare if I hadn't taken care of the snow in the morning. It's still above freezing so meltage is continuing some paths are mostly clear of earlier ice build up

**two closest neighbors are hard of hearing and don't work so I really don't feel bad.

I got you beat. Did mine at 4am. The only neighbor that would hear the blower leaves at 4:30 am on his Victory all summer long. I don’t think that he understands the bike will roll down the hill without the need to twist the throttle...
Supposed to see high 40’s today. It will be a good day to work outside getting some vitamin D

    Any spring birds yet?

I heard a mourning dove while on a walk yesterday. ( or it was my stomach)

We have doves all the time. My wife was a lover of birds and most animals. Our feed bill for the birds has always run high and doves were one of her favorites.

    No spring birds yet.

Got drywall 100% ready for mud and recessed lighting temporarily installed so I can see what I'm mudding last night. May try to put on a base coat of mud tonight if time allows. Lots of stuff going on for the next 4-5 days so I might have to take a break on the bedroom for a while.

Feels like groundhog day working on these bedrooms...this is the 3rd one...one more to go after this. At least I'm getting faster at it.

48 degrees today, and it felt like hitting the jackpot. The birds in the morning, especially the cardinals sing a different tune.

The local deer are eating a lot of the neighbors bushes. On snowy nights they sleep under some of the evergreens. The hemlock brush pile melted behind the barn and they have been working on it. I pulled it apart with the mattock and they should have plenty to chew on.

Five turkey were establishing pecking order across the street chasing each other around making a big racket.

I go off call for work tomorrow, so I plan on spending as much time doing outdoor things this weekend. I got the frame for the sugar shack up, have stovepipe, just a few other things needed to start boiling. This will be a temporary shack that I can put up every spring. I will probably tap trees Friday and start cooking Saturday morning.
